This amazing footage shows the protection shown by animals in the wild as this plucky little squirrel keeps back the crows who are trying to take a peck at his dead pal.
As the small dead body of the squirrel lays on the ground his mate stands guard over him, shaking his tail at the approaching crows in a warning manner before chasing them off.
At one point he even lays down beside his little buddy before once again showing the birds who’s boss, what a plucky little chap.

This little squirrel is probably protecting his/her dead mate! They are very loyal to their partners and are family oriented. Poor thing!!!!
