A man in Brazil suffering from a phobia called ‘taphephobia’, a fear of being buried alive, has built his own burial chapel.
His final burial place contains a TV, fresh water, a food pantry, fresh air vents and two hand-made megaphones, which he has recently tried out.
He lay in his coffin shouting through the tubes of his megaphone which echoed around the countryside. It was his own private testing session to check that everything was in order when the time comes.
George Washington himself suffered from the phobia and gave strict instructions that he was not to be buried for at least until three days after his death.
