White Tiger

A cleaner at a zoo in Singapore, has been killed by two white tigers in front of horrified visitors in what is allegedly claimed to be an act of suicide.

The Malaysian victim, according to eyewitnesses, began shouting and throwing things around before crossing a moat in the animals enclosure and swinging a broom around to aggrivate the tigers.

Two of the tigers began to approach him and he placed his cleaning bucket over his head and lay down on the ground where the animals then began to attack him.

One witness said he began to scream in pain and onlookers realised that this wasn’t part of a show but was real and started shouting at the tigers, trying to frighten them away from the cleaner.

Several of the zoo keepers arrived and tried to distract the animals as others ushered the crowds away from the scene.  The tigers continued to attack until a feeding door was opened and they retreated.

Once inside their cage, the keepers could reach the victim, however, it was too late, he died before the police arrived at the zoo.

The victim was believed to have been working at the zoo for about four-and-a-half months, and was said to have been acting strangely only minutes before the incident.

Allegedly, before the event, the cleaner had thrown away his meal tickets and said to staff “Goodbye, you won’t be seeing me again”, before riding off on his bicycle.

The zoo has said that the tigers would not be put down as they were acting normally.
