Pygmy Tarsier
A group of primates have been discovered that were thought to have died out and they look just like the toy furby that was around not so long ago.
The pygmy Tarsier, is only about the size of a mouse and weighs less than two ounces. This little creature has not been observed since 1921 and was thought to be extinct until scientists in the highlands of Sulawesi accidentally killed one while trying to trap rats in 2000.
In August, another scientist managed to trap three of the nocturnal creatures in Indonesia last August where collars were attatched to them enabling their movements to be tracked.
One of the unique features of this adorable little critter is that is has fingers with claws and not nails which distinguishes them amongst nearly all other primates, which is believed to be because of the mossy, slippery climate that they live in.
